How It Works
The shaft turns a barrel of axial pistons against a valve plate.
Swashplate angle decides piston stroke and flow.
On a compensated PVB10, rising outlet pressure moves the plate toward a smaller angle; when the circuit asks for oil again, the pump strokes up. The circuit still needs a relief valve.

Installation Notes
Prime the housing through the upper case-drain connection. Run that drain to tank through a full-size, unrestricted line; the published case-pressure ceiling is only 0.35 bar (5 psi). Check motor rotation before fitting the coupling, align both shafts and keep belt side-load off the pump shaft. A restricted inlet or an air leak can make a new axial piston hydraulic pump sound faulty within seconds.
