Hydraulic power units may encounter some common malfunctions during use. For example, if the hydraulic oil in the tank is not filled to the required level, it should be filled to 30 to 50 mm from the oil port. If there is air in the cylinder or oil pipes, the oil pipes must be disconnected and reconnected. Incorrect wiring of the directional valve may cause it to malfunction; check the wiring for correctness. If the pressure regulating valve is set too low, increase the pressure initially and then adjust to the appropriate level. If the directional valve or manual valve is not closed, it needs to be removed, cleaned, or replaced. If the gear pump outlet seal is damaged, it needs to be removed and replaced. Furthermore, if the cylinder does not descend or descends unsteadily during unloading, it may be due to the solenoid valve not being energized, having an abnormal connection, or insufficient voltage; the circuit needs to be checked. Alternatively, prolonged energization or excessive voltage may have burned out the solenoid; the solenoid valve should be replaced. If electrical components or wiring are broken or damaged, they should be replaced immediately. If prolonged operation of the hydraulic power unit leads to increased oil temperature, excessive noise, or abnormal cylinder operation, operation should be stopped immediately.

In terms of technological development, servo-driven, high-efficiency, energy-saving, and intelligent hydraulic systems are becoming a trend. For example, in the metallurgical industry, servo-driven energy-saving hydraulic systems can achieve an average energy saving rate of over 40%. Gravity potential energy recovery hydraulic systems can achieve an energy saving efficiency of up to 69.17%. Meanwhile, condition monitoring and intelligent diagnostic systems, by collecting real-time flow, volume, and pressure parameters of the hydraulic system and establishing mathematical models, can accurately monitor the system status and provide timely warnings when deviations exceed set ranges, effectively ensuring the reliability and stability of the system and improving the intelligence level of the hydraulic system.
