A6VM is a variable hydraulic motor, not a pump. Pressure oil enters the motor and turns the output shaft. Inside is a bent-axis piston group. The displacement can be changed while the motor is running, giving the drive a wider working range than a fixed motor.
Our main production focus is Series 63. These are the larger frames-80, 107, 140, 160, 200 and 250 cc/rev. They are normally considered when the machine needs serious torque and the smaller motor sizes have already run out of room. Series 63 works in open or closed circuits and carries a 350 bar nominal, 400 bar maximum pressure class.
Series 65 and Series 71 cover the smaller and medium sizes. Series 65 runs from 28 to 200 cc/rev, while Series 71 covers 60 to 280 cc/rev. Series 71 is often discussed for jobs where slow-running behavior and a higher pressure level matter. It is not simply a newer label on the same housing; the size range, pressure class and internal build are different.
Typical orders come from travel drives, winch systems, mining machinery, forestry machines and gearbox-driven industrial equipment. For a replacement job, the complete code is still the safest starting point. A6VM motors can look very similar from the front while using different controls, shafts or port plates at the back.
Key Features & Benefits
Wide displacement adjustment
The motor can move from maximum displacement toward zero, giving one unit a broad speed and torque window.
High torque from a compact motor
The bent-axis rotary group puts substantial output into a housing that remains practical for mobile equipment.
Open or closed circuit use
The same motor platform can be built around either circuit type once the control and valve arrangement are confirmed.
Several ways to control it
Hydraulic proportional, electric proportional, two-position, pressure-related and speed-related controls are available by series.
Series 63 for large-drive work
The 250–1000 cc/rev range covers applications where smaller motors cannot produce enough usable torque.
Higher-speed smaller frames
Series 65 and 71 can run at much higher speeds than the large Series 63 frames when displacement and inlet flow allow it.
Valve options around the motor
Flushing, boost-pressure and selected counterbalance-valve arrangements can be added to suit the hydraulic circuit.
Made to the full configuration
We check more than displacement-the shaft, rotation, port direction, control code and minimum setting all matter.
The available motor families combine variable displacement with several control styles, optional circuit valves and open- or closed-circuit operation.

*The upper peak figures are short-duration limits, not continuous working settings. Actual limits also depend on displacement, speed, shaft load, valve option and oil condition. Series 65 and 71 normally use SAE A/B working ports in rear or lateral layouts; the flange size changes with the frame and port plate.

How It Works

1) Pressure oil acts on the pistons
Oil enters through working port A or B. It fills the active cylinder bores and loads the pistons. The pressure difference across the motor is what creates the internal driving force.

2) The bent-axis group turns the shaft
The cylinder block and output shaft sit at an angle to one another. Piston force follows that geometry and becomes rotation at the shaft. More pressure difference gives more torque. More inlet flow gives more speed.

3) The controller changes motor displacement
At a larger displacement, the motor produces more torque but turns more slowly for the same oil flow. Move toward a smaller displacement and the shaft runs faster, with less torque available. The control may use pilot pressure, an electric signal, system pressure or drive speed.
A practical first estimate is:
Motor speed: n ≈ q × 1000 ÷ Vg
Motor torque: M ≈ Vg × Δp ÷ (20 × π)
Real output is lower once volumetric and mechanical losses are included..

About Us
SheungChak is an independent OEM manufacturer of hydraulic piston pumps and motors. The PV270 supplied from our factory carries our own production and quality-control responsibility.
A replacement order usually begins at the nameplate, but we do not stop there. Our team checks the shaft, rotation, mounting face, controller, port layout and rear housing. For a new hydraulic station, we also ask for pressure, speed, target flow and the circuit drawing. It takes a little longer at the beginning. It saves much more time once the pump reaches the customer.
Factory history: 20+ years
Main products: Variable piston pumps, fixed piston pumps, hydraulic motors and pump parts
Main markets: Europe / South America / Middle East / Southeast Asia / Africa
Order types: Samples, replacement units, scheduled batches and OEM projects
MOQ: 1 PC
Normal lead time: 3 days
Packing: Moisture protection, foam support and export plywood case

FAQ Display Content
1) Is A6VM a pump or a motor?
It is a hydraulic motor. Oil goes in, the shaft turns, and the machine gets rotary power. A pump does the opposite.
2) What is different about Series 63, 65 and 71?
They are aimed at different size and pressure ranges. Series 63 covers the larger motors. Series 65 is more common on smaller, faster drives. Series 71 is used where a higher pressure rating is needed.
3) Can A6VM work in open and closed circuits?
Yes. The motor can be used in either type of system, but the control and valve setup must match the circuit.
4) Can displacement go down to zero?
On some versions, yes, or very close to it. The exact limit depends on the model code and operating speed.
5) Does variable displacement save oil?
Sometimes. It lets the motor change speed and torque without relying only on flow. The result still depends on the rest of the hydraulic system.
6) Are flushing and counterbalance valves available?
For some builds, yes. These options are often considered on travel drives, winches and similar applications.
7) What should I watch during maintenance?
Oil cleanliness comes first. Also keep an eye on case-drain flow, noise and housing temperature. A sudden change usually deserves a closer look.
8) What do you need for a quotation?
The full model code is best. If you do not have it, send clear photos and basic machine data. Shaft, flange, ports, control type, pressure, flow and quantity are usually enough to start.
